Exodus Cry – Dubai

This past December Exodus Cry traveled to the Middle East. I’ll leave the reasons for this journey a secret until the Nefarious film is released. Below are a few pictures of Dubai, portraits of the peoples, and the Grand Mosque that is not in Dubai but actually in Abu Dhabi. This Mosque is the most extravagant piece of architecture I have ever encountered. The mosque cost 1 billion dollars to create and truly was breathtaking. Although I didn’t sense great darkness while I was there, I was keenly aware of how empty it felt spiritually. Make note of one of the photos below, there is a woman sitting on the carpet looking at all the different names of allah, our guide told us that out of the 100+ names inscribed there, not one of them was father. This left my heart sad. All in all though, Dubai was an amazing city to visit. The people were enchanting and the food was delicious. If you ever do visit… don’t go in the summer  ~ 120˚. The last photo is obviously the worlds tallest building. Let me try to put into perspective how tall this thing is…from where I took the photo, if you took a greyhound bus and put it at the top of this building it would be unrecognizable. Amazing!

Your work is amazing! I came to look at Tori’s pictures but could not resist the others, the ones in Dubai of the Mosque are fabulous. I can only imagine what a cold ,beautiful, place it is. It made me sad that father was not on the wall. Thanks for sharing your work
