I’m a photographer who loves making images, not because of a love for photography but because of a love for people. My energy comes not from taking photos but from interacting with beautiful and amazing people and families. It’s an honor to serve others with the images that I capture. Don’t get me wrong, photography is a passion for me but it’s not what drives me. My main drive is to keep God at the center of what I do. I know that because of God’s love, people are at the center of his heart and this drives me to serve others with excellence. I love seeing the beauty in others that God has already placed there. God has fearfully and wonderfully made everyone and I love capturing moments in their lives. So do I take beautiful pictures or is it just that the people are beautiful? I believe it’s both.

About • Steve Willis is a fine-art photographer with a God-given talent to see light; he uses that light to capture the transcendent elegance and beauty in each subject. Steve seizes not just the moment, but gives an impression of the heart and soul.
He is the owner and principal wedding photographer of Underpin Photography, serving Kansas City, Missouri as well as Denver & Colorado Springs, Colorado. Steve has photographed weddings all over the nation, and traveled doing photography in eleven different countries. Steve specializes in creative documentary wedding photography but also loves to create dynamic images for high school senior portraits.
Why Photography? • I like people. The camera affords me the opportunity to serve and meet some wonderfully interesting people. I feel a real energy behind the camera in serving others with creative photography.
